Owly

I wanted to crochet an owl for my daughter to play with but couldn´t find a pattern that i like. Instead I made up this owl. I will try to find a better photo eventually.

Chain 25

Round 1 2 sc i second chain from hook, 1 sc in the next 22 st, 4 sc in the last st. You should now work in the back loops of the chain and make 1 sc in the next 22 st, 2 sc in the last st. (52)

Round 2 Dec 1, 1 sc in the next 22 st, dec 2, 1 sc in the next 22 st, dec 1. (48)

Round 3 Dec 1, 1 sc in the next 20 st, dec 2, 1 sc in the next 20 st, dec 1. (44)

Assembly: Sew the black ring in the center of the white ring.

 

Beak

With orange yarn chain 2.

Round 2 (2 sc in each st) x 6 (12)

Round 3 - 4 Sc around (12)

Crochet the beak together by making 4 sc through both sides.

Stuff foot (only the foot do not stuff the leg).

Crochet the legs together by making 5 sc through both sides.


Assembly

Sew the eyes and the beak onto the top half of the body, I find it easier to pause and do it when you have worked half the body. Sew the wings on the sides. Stuff the body and make sure to put some extra stuffing in the ears. Position the legs and sew the bottom seam together at the samt time as attatching the legs.
